Osteoporosis is a problem in today’s society, affecting millions of people every year. While low bone density can affect both genders it is more prevalent amongst females & often starts during the teenage years. Bone density is most effectively increased before the age of 30. Addressing the issue of bone density during the teenage years can help prevent future complications that may arise from osteoporosis.
